Reducing your water footprint is good for not only your wallet but for the environment too!

Here are some tips to reduce water wastage:

1. Repair all leaking taps and toilet.
2. Turn the water off while brushing your teeth.
3. Make sure you always wash a full load of laundry.
4. Make sure you wash a full load of dishes in the dishwasher.
5. Water your gardens with a garden hose.
6. Having your local plumber install a pressure limiting valve on the mains water.
7. Use native plants in your garden.

• Pilot light on gas appliance has an orange or yellow glow

Gas leaks can occur if your gas appliances were not installed properly by a certified plumber, or if you appliance is older and has not been regularly serviced.

Below are some tips to keep your drinking water health:

1. Run the tap for at least 30 seconds before filling a cup to drink.
2. Install a single point use water filter.
3. Install a whole house water filter system.
4. Install a reverse osmosis system for your drinking water.
5. Make sure your HWU is serviced regularly.
